CNC Lab
Objectives:
- Describe the various manufacturing processes for material removal and understand the appropriate technology for each of the cutting processes. Understand the role of CAD/CAM in modern design and manufacturing.
- Establish a baseline knowledge of the basic principles needed to understand manufacturing process.
- Describe the principles of Computer Aided Designing systems and the concepts of Geometric modeling, solid modeling, and feature-based design modeling.
- Create manually G-code CNC programs, simulate the tool-path.

FMHM Lab
Objectives:
- To expose to the basic principles of fluid mechanics and to familiarize students to the practical applications of it. Impart knowledge on the operation of various fluid machines and characterization of them. To make students competent in using hydraulic machines in the field of fluid power engineering and to find scopes for future research in same.
- After successful completion of the course, the students shall be able to Acquire skills in basic principles of fluid mechanics.
- Comprehend safety measures required to be taken while working in the fluid mechanics and hydraulic machines.

Heat Transfer Lab
Objectives:
- To understand the fundamentals of heat transfer mechanisms in fluids and solids and their applications in various heat transfer equipment in process industries.
- Ability to understand and solve conduction, convection and radiation problems
- Ability to design and analyze the performance of heat exchangers and evaporators
- Ability to design and analyze reactor heating and cooling systems
- Conduction Apparatus, convection apparatus, radiation apparatus, heat exchangers, gear oil pump, air compressor, heat flux apparatus etc.
Internal Combustion Engine Lab
Objectives:
- To achieve collective idea about the internal combustion engine Like calculation of BHP,IP,SFC, HEAT BALANCE SHEET of Different types of SI and CI engines.
- Establish baseline knowledge of basic calculation of internal combustion engines.
- Prepare for more advanced internal combustion engine courses covering topics such as bhp, ip, sfc, heat balance sheet, ignition system, carburetion system, fuel injection system etc.
- Basic idea of calculation of different aspects of SI & CI engines.

Machine Dynamics Lab
Objectives:
- To impart practical knowledge on design and analysis of mechanisms in the machine tools and automobiles. In Machine Dynamics Lab, the students are doing the experiments related to their theory subjects like Engineering Mechanics, Machines and Mechanisms and Fundamentals of Vibration and Noise. Various equipments like governors, gyroscopes, balancing machines and universal vibration facilities are available to understand machine dynamics. The working models of simple mechanisms like gears, cams and followers are very much useful to understand Basic Mechanical Engineering .The vibration equipments are well established in dynamics lab.
After successful completion of the course, the students shall be able to
- Mastery of the knowledge in dynamics of planar mechanism.
- Analyze static and dynamic forces in mechanisms.
- Take notice of importance of the balancing and learn procedures of the basic balancing.
- Ability to understand the implications of computed results in dynamics to improve the design of a mechanism.

Mechanical Measurement Lab
Objectives:
- To acquiring the basic knowledge regarding methods of measurements. Classification of measuring instruments and types of errors.
- Establish a basic knowledge and basic principles needed to understand the calibration of measuring instruments like strain gauge, thermocouples, sine bar, pressure gauges.
- To determine the damping coefficient and frequency of vibration of vibration measuring instruments.
- To get a broad idea about various pressure and temperature measurements
- LVDT, Load cell resistance strain gauge, Rotameter, Pneumatic trainer, Sine bar, Damping vibration, Thermocouple, Damping vibration.
Numerical Computing & Solid Modeling Lab
Objectives:
- To familiarize the students in introducing and exploring MATLAB & SOLIDWORKS.
- To provide a theoretical foundation for the practical concepts introduced in the recent era. It is important that students have an opportunity to verify some of the ideas for themselves.
- To learn how to communicate scientific information in a clear and concise manner.
- To enable the student on how to approach for solving Engineering problems using simulation tools.

- To acquiring knowledge about different charts and diagrams showing properties of standardized specimensand comparing it with the given specimens.
