Dr. Deepak Ranjan Biswal
Assistant Professor & HOD
Dr. Deepak Ranjan Biswal is currently working as an Assistant Professor & HOD in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, School of Engineering and Technology, DRIEMS University, Odisha. He has completed his B. Tech from J.I.E.T (Utkal University), M. Tech from G.I.E.T. (BPUT) and Ph.D. from BPUT in 2002, 2010 and 2024 respectively. He has 19 years teaching experience and 1 year industry experience. His favourite teaching subjects include engineering mechanics, fluid mechanics, robotics, mechanical vibration, kinematics and dynamics of machines, machine dynamics, and entrepreneurship development. His area of research includes robotics and automation, vibrational energy harvesting and machine design. He has published more than 15 research papers in national and international conferences and journals. He has also published two book chapters in publications of international repute. He guides undergraduate and post graduate students in different project. He has authored the book Hydraulics and Fluid Mechanics for Engineering and polytechnic students. He is involved in different academic activities such as organizing committee member in international conferences, reviewers in international journals, keynote speaker in workshops, seminars, conferences and different accreditation activities. He has attended more than fifty different programs such as a faculty development program, seminar and workshop in national and international level. He is the life member of Indian Society for Technical Education ISTE), Society of Failure Analysis (SFA), The Robotic Society (TRS), Soft computing research society (SCRS).
