PROGRAM OUTCOMES (PO’S)

  • PO1

    To analyse and evaluate, Anatomical patho-physiological and psychosomatic impairments resulting inphysical dysfunction in various age groups, occupations arrive at appropriate diagnosis
  • PO2

    To understand the rationale and basic investigative approach to the medical system and surgical intervention regimens; accordingly plan and implement specific occupational therapy measures effectively
  • PO3

    To be able to select strategies for cure and care; adopt restorative rehabilitative measures for maximum possible independence of a client and back to normal life at home, work place and in the community.
  • PO4

    To maintain healthy relationship and co-partnership with various professionals in the health delivery system in the primary interest of a client.

    To ensure quality assurance and motivate the client with family for desirable client compliance

    To develop communication skills for the purpose of transfer of suitable technique to be used creatively at various states of treatment, compatible with psychological status of the beneficiary

    To promote health in general in Geriatrics, Women’s health, Industrial Medicine as well as at competitive level, such as sports, keeping in mind National health policies.

    To practice professional autonomy and ethical principles with referral as well as first contact clients in conformity with ethical code for Occupational therapists.

    Disciplinary Knowledge: Integrate concepts from the biological, physical, behavioural, and clinical sciences into therapy services.

    Professional Ethics: Exhibit professional conduct and behaviours that are consistent with the legal and ethical practice of therapy.

    Patient Care: Demonstrate compassion, caring, integrity, and respect for differences, values, and preferences in all interactions with patients/clients, family members, health care providers, students, other consumers, and payers.

    Communication Skills:Demonstrate culturally sensitive verbal, nonverbal, and written communications that are effective, accurate, and timely.

    Research related Skills:Collect and critically evaluate data and published literature to apply in the delivery of care, practice management, and to examine the theoretical and scientific basis for therapy.

    Analytical Skills:Complete a patient/client examination/ re-examination and evaluate and interpret the examination data to determine a therapy diagnosis and prognosis.
