Mr. Utkal Keshari Jena is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the School of Hotel Management at DRIEMS University, located in Cuttack, Odisha. He obtained his Bachelor Degree (BHM) and Master degree (MTHS) from Utkal University of Culture in 2011 and 2016 respectively.Also obtained Diploma in Food Processing and Preservation from National Council of Vocational training, New Delhi. Currently he is pursuing his Ph.D. from S'O'A University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. He has a total 8 years of teaching and 3years of industry experience. His preferred teaching subjects include Food Production, Food Science Nutrition, Food Processing , Food Preservation and Modern molecular Gastronomy . Furthermore, his research interests include in the fields of Hospitality, Cultural Tourism, Gastronomy Tourism. He actively guides Graduate and Post graduate students on various research, projects and contributes to various promotional activities. He has participated in more than 20 faculty development programs, seminars, and workshops at the national and international level.He was awarded as runners-up inJunior chef 2011 competition at Hotel Mayfair Lagoon. Achieved best Mentorship award from Asia Pacific institute of Management , Gujurat. Achieved the first and winner position of AHAR WAYS award in the category of best assistant Professor 2023.He is currently the active member and advisor in Odisha Association of Chefs Society. Also he is a member of expert committee of Odisha Board vocational course (Tourism and Hospitality) . A certified and registered Assessor of Skill mantra organisation, Noida UP.
