Nursing Foundation Cum Medical Surgical Nursing Lab

About

The Medical Surgical Nursing lab is an exclusive setting intended to offer advanced hands-on training and practical practice. It enhances theoretical knowledge by providing chances to put clinical abilities into practice, participate in patient simulations, and make use of contemporary medical technology..By giving nursing students a safe space to practice critical clinical skills linked to adult patient care, the Medical-Surgical Nursing Department Lab serves a critical role in their education and skill development. Prior to entering actual healthcare settings, students can obtain practical experience in this lab, which is set up to imitate a hospital or clinical scenario.

SKILL LAB

About

For achieving 12th plan goals and international commitments such as MDGs, there is a need to further accelerate the initiatives with special focus on quality parameters. Improvement and achievements on these goals are possible only if the health care delivery system is strengthened with technically competent health care providers at all levels to deliver critical Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health (RMNCH) services at institutional and outreach levels with universal coverage, equity and quality. Hence, capacity building of health care providers to make them proficient in technical skills and knowledge requires key intervention for ensuring the desired outcomes.

A Skill Lab in nursing is a specialized learning space where nursing students and healthcare professionals can practice and improve their clinical skills using simulators, manikins, demonstration videos and presentation and medical equipment. It offers hands-on training in various nursing procedures, enabling students to build proficiency in a safe, controlled environment before applying their skills in actual clinical settings. It allows facilitators to demonstrate the correct steps and allows repetition and feedback to the learner’s methods by providing the opportunity for repetitive skill practice, simulating clinical scenarios under the supervision of a qualified trainer.
