On September 21, 2024, the 6th-semester nursing students of DRIIEMS University brought joy and awareness to Sevak Old Age Home in Chhatia, Jaipur, as part of their Psychiatry Nursing Course field visit. 

What made the day special?
Awareness Activities: Students educated everyone about dementia prevention and elderly care.
Cultural Performances: Songs, dances, and smiles filled the air! 
Fun & Games: Interactive games brought laughter and joy to the residents. 
Donations: Students contributed funds to support the old age home. 

This heartfelt initiative not only spread awareness about *Alzheimer’s* but also reminded us of the importance of love, care, and respect for our elderly.

 

On November 29, 2024, students from the 6th semester and GNM 2nd year of the School of Nursing at DRIEMS University visited The Ashraya – The Shelter in Cuttack. The purpose of the visit was to gain knowledge about child psychiatry conditions and observe the rehabilitation measures provided to children with Autism and Mental Retardation. During the visit, the students gained valuable insights into the challenges faced by these children and the management strategies for mentally challenged individuals. This visit was part of their Psychiatry Nursing Training program, aimed at enhancing their understanding and skills in psychiatric care.
